Trick or Treat
It's Halloween week, and everybody's putting together their costumes. Some people dress up as something that reflects their personality. Like everyone tells me I look like Woody from Toy Story, and that I act a little like him, all clumsy and scared. So one year I dressed up like Woody. It just seemed natural. But other people want to be someone totally different, like the shy girl who dresses up like Lady Gaga. What are you going to be? Does it match who you are, or is it a way to escape and be someone else?

I Can definately relate, when i was involuntarily hospitalized they diagnosed me with multiple personality disorder, which i thought was strange since i didn't notice. But since i found buddhism i have been able to reflect on myself to realize that i too put on masks, and i would have to say quite alot of them, but when halloween rolls around you feel you can either exaggerate the real you, or you can try something else on for the night, see how it fits...
I'm not really into halloween, but I guess I can relate to the "escape reality" part of your blog. I've really been trying to just be myself lately instead of putting on the mask. It's hard to do sometimes, especially when you're around people that have expectations on you.
