Beer Ads: Are You Inclined to Drink?

If you’re like many Americans, this last Sunday you could probably be found sitting on your couch watching Super Bowl XLV. Research indicates nearly 15% of Super Bowl viewers watch for the commercials. Companies pay a pricey $3 million for each 30-second spot: some up to $15 million for multiple ads. As the previous blog post indicated, many of these high-paying companies are beer and alcohol manufacturers, especially Anheuser-Busch. And plenty of underage viewers watch these kinds of ads. Viewers just like you.

Marin Institute is one group concerned that teens are more likely to participate in underage drinking because they see these commercials. But what do YOU think? How much do Super Bowl beer ads influence on your decision to drink or not drink alcohol?
