Anti-gay Message Allowed to Stay Near Casper High School

What?! What?! What?! Haven’t we learned anything about hatred and bullying from the Phoebe Price story?

According to the Casper Tribune, “Casper officials say an anti-gay sign painted on a homeowner's fence near a high school will be allowed to remain because there's nothing the city can or should do about it.”

The sign reads "Leviticus 20:13, To be gay equals death,” and it’s posted on a Casper resident’s fence that sits along a route between Roosevelt High School and the Boys&Girls Club where dozens of high school students pass each day.

Even TV stations in Missouri are picking up this news.

After all the recent news about bullying and hatred and their detrimental consequences, the last thing we need in one of our towns is a hate-filled sign that is very visible to teens. What are people thinking?
